Bowman GL321 marine duty heat exchanger with 2-pass 70/30 Cu/Ni tube nest, red brass bonnets and aluminum shell. Tube side water ports are 1-1/4″ NPT female, shell side ports have 3″ NPT female adapters added to the original DN76 flanges. Some of the images with blue covers over ports, are the DN76 flanges prior to the 3 NPT adapters are added. This is an excellent heat exchanger for fresh or salt water swimming pool heating as the 70/30 copper/nickel alloy is very resistant to corrosion, and has low macrofouling rates. It is far superior to stainless steel in salt water & chlorinated water which will cause stainless steel to corrosion crack, and 70/30 copper/nickel has 40% better heat transfer conductivity. Other applications include industrial uses with oils or gases. This is a surplus item that has been stored indoors, never used and considered new.
