Item is brand new. However, it is an Amazon return and I do not know if it functions as it should. The item May fire right up or it may need a little tinkering and parts to get it to perform. The heater will come with the instruction manual. The box was very large and I have thrown it away. The only flaws I noticed is that the digital display area has a crack right above where it says sta-rite and there is also a hairline fracture below where it says service system (pics 6 & 7).
