If the roof temperature rises 7 degrees above the pool water temperature, and the pool temperature is below the set point, then the controller will switch on power to the solar pump, which will cycle the pool water through the collector to heat the water and then return it to the pool. If the pool water temperature rises 1 degree above the set point, or the roof temperature falls to within 2 degrees of the temperature of the pool water, the controller will switch off power to the solar pump.
